exhibition participations in St. Pölten und Steyr

Currently I participate in two exhibitions. These are:

SPUREN im KUNST:WERK St. Pölten and
NEIGHBOURHOOD REPORT – 12 positions from Lower Austria in the Castle Gallery Steyr.

In the exhibition SPUREN, curated by me, the exhibiting artists (Iris Blauensteiner and Christine Moderbacher, Anton Ehrenberger, Hermann F. Fischl, Alois Junek, Elisabeth Kallinger, Hermine Karigl-Wagenhofer, Ernest A. Kienzl, Herbert Kraus, Evi Leuchtgelb, Hannelore Mann, Mark Rossell, Franz Rupp, Kurt Schönthaler, J. F. Sochurek, Peter Weber, Margareta Weichhart-Antony, Claudia Zawadil) with various aspects of the term traces (impressions, following a trail, footprints, tracks, tracks, furrows, obeying …). This exhibition runs until 6 October 2019 at KUNST:WERK St. Pölten (Thursday, Friday 16.00 to 18.30 and Saturday, Sunday 10.00-12.30).

In the exhibition NEIGHBOURHOOD REPORT – 12 positions from Lower Austria – already shown in Iglau (Czech Republic) – I present works from the series Found Abstracts – cracks.
Also participating in this exhibition are Richard Jurtitsch, Leopold Kogler, Alois Mosbacher, Florian Nährer, Frenzi Rigling, Franz Schwarzinger, Gerlinde Thuma, Josef Trattner, Martin Veigl, Manfred Wakolbinger and Robert Zahornitzky.
It will open today, 12 September 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Schlossgalerie Steyr and can be viewed until 3 November 2019 Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Personal exhibition in the Gallery am Lieglweg

From 30 June 2019 the Galerie am Lieglweg in Neulengbach will show my new and newest works from the cycle “found Abstracts (cracks)”.

Are they macrographs of human veining? Or dried branches? Or simply drawings thrown down “gesturally” in mostly opulent colours? Or cerebral computed tomography images of synaptic energies? Or even cosmic rays? The current series of works found abstracts: cracks by Ernest A. Kienzl inspires at first glance various associations in the field of tension from representational concrete to abstract gestural.

72nd annual exhibition of the Künstlerbund St. Pölten – participation and curating

I am currently taking part in the 72nd annual exhibition of the St. Pöltner Künstlerbund at the Stadtmuseum St. Pölten. There I show my newest series of “Found Abstracts”.

october 2017 to April 2018

In October 2017 I curated in the Stadtmuseum St. Pölten the
71st annual exhibition of the St. Pöltner Künstlerbund Logo 71. Jahresaustellung des St. Pöltner Künstlerbundes followed by the surprise Exhibition Logo surprise in KUNST:WERK, which was also shown in January 2018.
In February followed the exhibition Schatten Logo Ausstellung Schatten
and at the beginning of April the exhibition Quadrat, Logo Ausstellung Quadrat  to which I invited 80 artists from many Austrian art associations to show square works in so-called Petersburger Hängung.
I took part in all exhibitions myself.

 

Participiant in the Exhibition “incontri d´arte in Udine

Ernest A. Kienzl in der Ausstellung „Incontr d´arte“ in Udine

I´m proud to be participant in the exhibition “incontri d´arte” at the “Galleria ArtTime” in Udine (Italien) as a representative of a conceptual geometrical abstraction.

The interesting exhibition is open till to 2nd March 2017

In an article on FRIULIONLINE about my Position is reported:
Per almeno 15 anni l’artista austriaco Ernest A. Kienzl si è dedicato al caleidoscopico fenomeno del segno come elemento fondamentale della comunicazione. Le origini dell’arte di Kienzl vanno indubbiamente ricercate nell’arte concettuale, in cui l’idea creativa non deve necessariamente essere realizzata dall’artista, ma emerge comunque in primo piano. L’interesse dell’artista è rivolto alla percezione umana, ad ogni cosa con cui entriamo in contatto giorno dopo giorno, a far emergere come gli individui elaborano le informazioni e le loro impressioni. La composizione modulare, quasi criptica, matematicamente concepita, dei suoi disegni, quadri e lavori, dimostra un tutt’uno segmentato in numerose varianti. La contrapposizione dei segni e il contrasto dei colori si fondono in un’unica armonia nelle opere di Kienzl.

After my participation in the exhibition „ent of painting“ at Eichgraben I curated ant took part in the exhibition „not for sale“ at KUNST:WERK St. Poelten

Invited by the curator Yokozawa Yoshitaka I could participate in the exhibition »Exchange of Japanese calligraphy organizations and Italian Arts« at Tokyo Metropolitan Theater (Atelier East), Tokyo

Ernest A. Kienzl gets the Adolf Peschek-Award of the Jury  after all followed the 70th Annual exhibition of the artists Union of St. Poelten in October and November 2016 , where I got the Adolf Peschek-Award by the Yury.

„Horizonts“ – again at KUNST:WERK St.Poelten – finished my exhibitions in 2016.
